Home Trends Your Homebuyers Will Want

If you couldn’t make it to this year's Cincy HOMEARAMA® that took place in Newport, KY, don’t stress! Our experts at Organized Living compiled a list of all the trends found at the show we think you'll want to make note of for your future homebuyers.

Texture

Incorporating texture has been a top trend for the last few years, and we don't see this going away any time soon. Texture is a timeless way to change an overall aesthetic of a space, and can be implemented in so many ways. Walls, floors, tile, furniture, décor, and more. Adding texture to a space can help it feel more inviting, unique to your style, and portray different moods and tones.

Neutrals

While we've seen a lot of pops of color in years past, we experienced a lot of homes that reverted back to a neutral pallet. All the color lovers out there, don't worry! Homes seemed to gravitate towards neutral paints, floors, appliances, and more, so there were greater opportunities to incorporate color as accent colors in home décor and furniture.

Storage

The category that seems to never go away! We had the opportunity to showcase our freedomRail® adjustable system in the Homes by Gerbus model to demonstrate the importance of utilizing the entire space to maximize storage! It didn’t stop there, though. We saw a lot of creative ways these home experts utilized storage. Butler’s pantries, walk-in closets, laundry rooms, and closets of all shapes and sizes with all kinds of purposes.

Lighting

Light fixtures were an exciting addition this year that caught our attention.  We were pleasantly surprised to see lighting taking the stage as a statement piece in a room. Some ways we saw light fixtures were above stairs with an open concept, above dining room tables, bedrooms, bathrooms, and cabinet lighting. All great ways to incorporate mood lighting and great additions to the home designs.

Outside Living

Who doesn't love being able to spend time outdoors in the comfort of your own home? These home experts incorporated beautifully designed outdoor spaces that flow with our desire to migrate from indoors to outdoors! These views have us sold to be outdoors all year long!

By incorporating these trends into the homes you build, you are guaranteed to have happy homebuyers! To learn more about the products and programs Organized Living has in place to make storage and organization easy for Builders, visit organizedliving.com/builders.
