Is your browser up to date?
Our Design Tool requires a recent version of your favorite browser. This can vary from one computer to the next, but we have found it to work on the following minimum versions:
- Internet Explorer 11; all versions of Microsoft Edge
- Chrome and Firefox 40
- Safari 8
Even if you have the minimum version, we always recommend making sure your browser is up to date. It keeps your browser secure, can improve its performance, and gives you access to the latest features.
Is hardware acceleration enabled?
Hardware acceleration allows the browser to use the graphics card on your computer for 3D imaging, which can free up resources for other tasks and allow the application to run more efficiently. Some browsers, like Chrome, need to have this setting turned on for our Design Tool to run. It's easy to change this setting.
Note: While hardware acceleration is beneficial and sometimes necessary for graphics-intensive applications, enabling this setting can sometimes cause the browser to slow down. If this happens, trying a different browser can help because some browsers implement hardware acceleration better than others.
